A First Look at Miami's New Tech Landmark: Amazon's Wynwood Office Building and Plaza
Miami, FL - Amazon's recent lease of a significant 50,333-square-foot space at Wynwood Plaza marks the largest office lease in the history of Miami's Wynwood submarket, sparking speculation about the area's potential as a burgeoning tech hub. The deal, finalized in late January, signals growing confidence in Miami as a "high-growth market" drawing prominent companies.

Wynwood Plaza, developed by a consortium including L&L Holding Company, Oak Row Equities, Shorenstein Investment Advisers, and Claure Group, is a mixed-use campus located at 95 NW 29th Street. At its heart is a 12-story, Class AAA office tower, offering 266,000 square feet of premium office space. The tower, nearing completion with delivery anticipated in early 2025, features state-of-the-art amenities designed to attract and retain top talent. The design is geared towards creating a "tech-forward environment" in a vibrant, culture rich district.
Amazon joins a tenant roster that already includes Claure Group, which has leased 25,400 square feet for its headquarters, and national law firm Weitz & Luxenberg, occupying 18,000 square feet, indicating the diverse appeal of the development. the plaza is expected to be a hub for innovation and commerce.
The office tower prioritizes employee well-being with open floorplans, private terraces, and extensive natural light, exemplified by floor-to-ceiling windows. A second-floor amenity hub includes a fitness center, golf simulator, and conference rooms, while a landscaped rooftop provides shaded seating areas and city views.





Beyond the office tower, Wynwood Plaza encompasses a 26,000-square-foot public plaza, designed to integrate art and nature, which is surrounded by 25,000 square feet of retail and dining space. This combination aims to create a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly environment, bolstering the area's appeal as a live-work-play destination. The campus also features Wynwood Plaza Residences, a 509-unit luxury rental community that encompasses an area of 45,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities.
Its strategic location, at the nexus of the Wynwood, Midtown, Design District, and Edgewater neighborhoods, coupled with easy access to transportation routes, further enhances Wynwood Plaza's attractiveness suggesting that the ongoing development may be ushering in a new era for Miami.
